I was interested in the idea of building a sculpture with a lifetime similar to my own life expectancy – a sculpture which neutralizes itself when I no longer exist. To this end, I had the date of my death calculated based on statistical and epidemiological research. The embedded display counts down the seconds of my life. Time can’t be individually controlled. It ticks away with the same rhythm for all of us.
